I am an undeniable tooth nerd. I love to share my passion for all things tooth, gums, and mouth with anyone who will listen. For the past 18 years, I have been engaging Edmontonians in their oral health, and waging war on the evil gingivitis and periodontal disease.
I earned my Dental Hygiene Degree with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2003, working the majority of my career in first, a progressive downtown dental office, and later, periodontal specialty offices. I have certifications in Local Anesthetic, Laser assisted Periodontal Therapy, Atraumatic Restorations, and the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride, as well as special interests in in Cariology, Sleep Disordered Breathing, Oral Pathology and Oralfacial Myology.
My non-tooth related passions include gluten-free baking, Autism Acceptance, and spending as much time as possible with my hubby and two adorable kiddos.
I believe that oral health is important to overall health, and take pride in balancing my role of preventative oral health professional with gentle clinician.
